2011 Vespa LXV150 ie

LXV 150 I.E. Vintage look, modern technology.

Cleverly re-interpreting some of the traditional design and technical elements of vintage Vespas of the 1960's, the 2011 Vespa LXV 150 ie is the result of pure Italian creativity and industrial culture. The 2011 LXV is built around the LX engine, a 150cc four-stroke.

This Vintage Vespa pays homage to the original Vespa design, with classic details such as a ‘naked’ handlebar, retro instrumentation and a saddle with separate rider and passenger seats. The LXV has
a 150cc engine, leather seats, underseat storage, and an automatic transmission. The ‘V’ series is ideal for those who want vintage design with the ease of modern technology. The I.E. engine is more fuel efficient, dependable and requires less maintenance than carbureted scooters.

Need a Florida Motorcycle Accident Lawyer and looking for an ethical, experienced and aggressive lawyer to figure out if you may be entitled to money compensation for your serious injury?

In Florida, motorcycle accidents happen mostly because automobile drivers do not share the road. I frequently represent seriously injured motorcycle riders because a car fails to see the motorcycle and then the car pulls out into the intersection. Another common reason is that the car driver changes lanes without looking. The most frequent injuries are fractures of shoulder or wrists from going over the handlebars, or femur (long bone of the leg) fractures from laying the bike down or a side impact. Unfortunately, even at slower speeds and with a helmet, I have represented the family of fathers and sons who have died in motorcycle crashes.

As a Florida Motorcycle accident lawyer, I understand that you may want to express you individuality and freedom on the road by making the decision as an adult not to wear a helmet. The insurance company in a brain injury case will argue that you are the cause of your own injury being worse because if you were wearing a helmet the injury would not have been so bad.

I retain experts in biomechanics, who are engineers and if the evidence is available and in your favor, they can calculate the force of the impact and tell the insurance company that they are wrong. That wearing a helmet would not have made a difference. A helmet sometimes can actually make the injury worse. I am not advocating that you should not wear a helmet , it's just that wearing one does not always make a difference. It depends on the accident circumstances. Each Florida Motorcycle Accident claim will get my personal attention to detail and my 30 years of experience.

If you would like to consult for free with a Florida civil trial lawyer who is board certified as an expert in civil trial then please call 888-446-1999

There will be no charge for lawyer fees of representation or costs of representation if there is not money compensation recovery.

2012 Piaggio Fly 50 4V Review

Style, comfort and safety on two wheels in the most classic Piaggio style.

Piaggio Fly is reborn, mobility for all. Anywhere in the world.

The new Piaggio Fly is the most modern heir to the great Piaggio tradition as the first European scooter manufacturer and leader in the search for easy and elegant solutions to provide mobility for all.

Piaggio Fly is the global scooter from Piaggio, designed and built for the entire world. Easy and safe, from the very first version Fly has embodied the spirit of Piaggio, one of the great global players in the scooter sector, whose mission is to meet the needs and desires of extremely wide ranges of users in every country in the world.
Now Piaggio Fly is renewed with an elegant style, completely revamped, and it offers new features of protection which are worthy of a much larger scooter.

The new Piaggio Fly now presents itself as the scooter which combines functionality and simplicity of use with the elegance of Italian design. The new Fly intends to bear the technical values and the design style which make Piaggio vehicles stand out in the world. It is the two wheeled vehicle of a thousand uses and a thousand spirits, always at ease in any situation which city life may bring, from commuting to school and work to spending free time with friends in the most glamorous parts of the city.

One of the most stimulating challenges for even a leader like Piaggio was to provide attractive lines and equip a project conceived and designed for daily mobility with exciting content. A strong aesthetic characterisation and absolute coherence with the brand's family feeling was the path that Piaggio designers chose to characterise the new Fly. The result was a vehicle which presents itself as the faithful "accomplice" with which the rider tackles city life, expressing a clear personality and a strong aesthetic affinity to the elegant lines of the Piaggio range.

2012 Piaggio Fly 50 4V Model Highlights

DESIGN

The new Fly is the expression of a new concept of functionality in which the balance of volumes generates usable space equal to a mini GT.

The elegant and Italian style can be seen in the painstakingly crafted and painted surfaces, the details and chromium plating and in the attention to every minimum detail.

Compact dimensions, ideal for beating city traffic, are accompanied by modern and personal lines which transmit solidity and the image of a small GT scooter, agile and comfortable.

The new Fly includes all of the elements of style from the most recent Piaggio productions, smoothness and dynamism blend perfectly in reassuring and never trite lines. Volumes and proportions were handled decisively by the designer's pen and the result is strong dynamism in the lines which do an excellent job of bringing out the brilliance of the latest addition to the Piaggio family.

The front end is prominent and penetrating, characterised by the "necktie" which, on the Fly, is an elegant black. The handlebar hosts a triangular shaped headlight surrounded by a chromium frame which connects it to the instrument panel, refined by a glossy black brow.

The low saddle is comfortable and provides easy seating to riders of any height, also hiding a spacious helmet compartment. The footrest has enough space to stretch out your legs, which works in favour the rider's convenience and comfort. The entire package is characterised by meticulous attention to detail, matching and finishing with chromium plated elements such as the glove box handle and the fuelling hatch. The wheel rims are made up of 5 rolling and doubled silver coloured spokes, just like the front fork and the transmission housing.

The slim back end is completed by a metallic silver coloured luggage rack and a unique tail light which includes turn indicators and rear light to make the vehicle sleek and to lighten its view from the rear.

RATIONALITY AND FUNCTIONALITY

The fuel tank was designed under the footrest, an extremely rational solution which means no sacrifice of capacity and an increased potential load for the storage compartment under the saddle which can hold 2 jet helmets with visors.

Access for refuelling is achieved through the hatch located on the lower part of the leg shield back plate which opens with a handle and hides the locking fuel cap. The black rear passenger footrests are the fold-out type and increase comfort and improve vehicle space.

The scooter has two stands: the centre stand to provide more stability for the stopped vehicle and the side stand, with a stop engine sensor for safe use.

The compact dimensions represent a valuable quality for a scooter destined primarily for city use: the new Fly provides improved vehicle space thanks to the riding triangle designed to accommodate access by various size riders; the double-seat saddle is just 760 mm off the ground, allowing any size rider to safely reach the ground.

Maximum use has been made of the spaces: besides the spacious storage compartment under the saddle, the glove compartment in the leg shield rear plate can hold small, every day objects (wallet and mobile phone) while the convenient bag hook comes out of the saddle. Finally, the large, flat footrest allows transportation of more bulky objects. The luggage carrier, which also acts as a handle for the passenger, also provides the possibility of mounting a spacious top box.

FRAME, CHASSIS AND SAFETY

The new Piaggio Fly frame is completely new, made from steel piping and moulded and welded reinforcing: a single open cradle structure, sturdy and resistant to breaks and bends, guaranteeing precision and safe riding.

The new Fly mounts a hydraulic telescopic fork with 32 mm stanchions, while a monoshock operates on the rear wheel, using the engine as swinging element in keeping with true scooter philosophy.

The 12" wheels and the wide, tubeless tyres (120/70 on the front and back) complete the high level chassis, ensuring excellent overall balance and agility fit for traffic.

The braking system is made up of a large diameter (220 mm) front disc brake, with a brake drum (140 mm diameter) mounted on the rear wheel.

ENGINES

The 50 cc 4 stroke, 4 valve engine that powers the new Fly has both clean consumption and brilliant performance at the same time. It is a modern engine developed to combine performance and respect for the environment, a top priority for a scooter destined for city commutes.

The 50 cc, thanks to the use of 4 valve timing, boasts the brilliance of the two stroke "little 50's" but the fuel economy and emissions remain those of a 4 stroke engine. The thermal part and the timing were optimised with the intention of reaching higher rpms safely and easily, thereby achieving greater power. Improved through-flow, also the result of the new multi-valve head, translates to optimised combustion, reduced fuel consumption and lower than ever emissions.

The new Fly, in addition to the 50 4 stroke, 4 valve, will be available in 125 and 150 cc injection versions; modern single cylinder 4 strokes which combine great performance sparkle with reduced fuel consumption and extremely contained emissions, thanks also to a transmission and shifting setting which increases mileage and reduces noise.

2012 Piaggio Beverly Sport Touring 350 Review

The range of the Piaggio high wheel best-seller is now enhanced with a new sport model: introducing Beverly SportTouring.
The 350 engine is new - as compact as a 300 cc but with the performance of a 400 - 150/70 rear tyre and a new look, rich in brushed details, for an evolution of the species which extends the class and elegance of Beverly to the sport class.
The new Beverly SportTouring is the first scooter to be equipped with ABS/ASR in order to take maximum advantage of performance without ever sacrificing complete safety.

The high wheel best seller from Piaggio, with more than 300,000 vehicles sold, has been the undisputed market leader from ten years, extends its inimitable features of urban commuter into a sports theme, mixing performance, comfort and riding pleasure into a unique model.

Introducing Beverly SportTouring, a version which is attractive, gritty and at the same time elegant, where all of the experience and state of the art scooter technology of the Piaggio Group is concentrated in terms of safety, performance and reliability.

Beverly SportTouring is the first model from Piaggio equipped with the brand new 350 engine, a product made to obtain the maximum power of a 400, but with a size, emissions levels and management costs comparable to those of a 300 cc.

The new SportTouring has a combined braking system or, the first scooter in the world, a built in ABS system with ASR traction control for maximum safety even in emergency and poor grip conditions.

To handle its enhanced performance, the new SportTouring mounts a larger 150/70 rear tyre in order to guarantee the maximum in terms of stability and road holding.

2012 Piaggio Beverly Sport Touring 350 Model Highlights

A new engine: minimum space, maximum performance.

On the Beverly SportTouring the brand new single cylinder 350, 4 stroke, 4 valve, electronic injection and water cooled engine makes its debut - state of the art Piaggio Group technology in scooter engines.

This is an engine designed to provide performance comparable to a 400 cc engine, but with compact dimensions and reduced weight in line with a 300 cc engine.

The new thermal group was specifically studied to optimise fluid dynamics, by adopting solutions which allow performance to be enhanced, increasing fuel economy at the same time. The new design also contributes to a significant reduction in emissions.

The stroke and bore values (69 mm x 78 mm) were selected to guarantee improved output at intermediate RPMs and with partial loads as well as greater operational flexibility.

The new 350 engine was conceived with a dry crankcase lubrication system with reed valve, which allows a reduction of both power losses due to flutter, and volume of the oil sump and the engine size.

Particular attention was given to reducing internal friction during design of the new engine: the timing rockers now have rollers, to the advantage of noise reduction and mechanical efficiency.

On the transmission front there are also new improvements, characterised by a new, multi-disc automatic clutch in oil bath, which ensures improved and more consistent output over time, even in conditions of high thermal stress. A special automatic lubrication system guarantees constant cooling of the system in any operating conditions.

These technical solutions, together with a new CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) developed ad hoc for this engine, provided savings in terms of weight of about 10 kg compared to a 400.

The performance, comparable to that of a 400, - with maximum power of 24.5 kW (33.3 HP) at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 32.2 Nm (3.3 kgm) at 6,250 rpm - place the new Beverly SportTouring at the top of its category.

Minimum size and maximum performance, for greater savings: thanks to the new engine, the management costs of the Beverly SportTouring are kept at the same level as a 300 scooter, while offering a reduction of maintenance expenses. In fact, service is scheduled at intervals of 20,000 km, with an oil change at an intermediate 10,000 km only.

Fuel economy information is also excellent: thanks to the new engine, Beverly SportTouring gets an average distance* of more than 30km/l, for an overall range grater than 330km. *WMTC 3.1 cycle

Chassis architecture: motorcycle efficiency with the comfort of a scooter.

The brilliant engine performance is enhanced by an original and extremely efficient chassis, a point of excellence for all of the Beverly models from the beginning. Once again, the new Beverly SportTouring's technology provides agility, efficiency and riding pleasure at the highest levels.

The double-cradle frame in high-strength steel and pressed sheet metal sports a conventional fork with 35 mm stanchions up front, while rear suspension is handled by a pair of double-acting helical-spring shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload offering 4 different positions, ensuring optimal absorption of road bumps while delivering a neutral response and accurate handling.

While maintaining the great agility and handling of an urban commuter, the new Beverly SportTouring ensures top-of-the-class road holding, thanks in part to the large wheels with double 5-spoke light alloy rims (16" x 3.00" up front and 14" x 3.50" at the rear) and large tyres (110/70 and 150/70 respectively).

Combined braking, ABS and ASR: powerful and safe in any situation.

In terms of active safety, the new Beverly SportTouring does not shy away from confrontation, thanks to its powerful braking system, at the top of its category. The front brake sports a large 300 mm semi-floating disc, where a 3-piston floating calliper operates, while a 240 mm disc is mounted at the rear. The two discs operate in synergy, thanks to the combined braking system (for the version without ABS only): acting on the right lever the two side pistons up front are activated, while the left lever operates both the third piston up front and the rear brake. A distribution valve operates in series with the left lever, calibrating the front brake pressure based on the rear pressure in order to prevent lightening of the rear wheel and to keep the vehicle balance neutral.

The new Beverly SportTouring is the first scooter on the market which can be equipped with the ABS/ASR package for optimum vehicle management even in the most delicate situations, such as in the event of a sudden loss of grip in emergency acceleration or braking.

Both the wheels are equipped with a tone wheel and a sensor for instantaneous detection of rotation speed. The sensors are connected to a two channel hydraulic control unit which, through servo valves regulates the pressure to the braking system, activating the ABS at the moment in which the wheel tends to lock up.

The final result is total and constant grip for the tyres, with a consequent decrease in the braking distance.

The ASR feature, combined with the ABS system, represents a further step forward in terms of active safety.

Thanks to the ASR, output power is automatically reduced when the sensors detect imminent skidding of the rear wheel. This measure contributes to preventing loss of control, on bumpy or low grip surfaces.

The ASR can be easily disabled using the dedicated control on the handlebar so that, in any case, the rider is always able to get clear even in particular conditions (i.e.: starts on uphill slopes, on dirt roads, etc.). Engagement and disabling are indicated by an indicator light on the instrument panel.

Style: gritty and elegant, in true Made in Italy spirit.

The decisive and elegant style of the new Beverly SportTouring stems from a careful and harmonious evolution of the distinctive styling of the Beverly family, searching for a subtle balance between the refined simplicity, so typical of all the best Made in Italy products and the numerous new details with a sport flavour.

Even at first glance, the Beverly SportTouring stands out with its smoked windshield which, besides emphasising its sport spirit, improves aerodynamic protection for the rider.

Instead of the chromium finishings, there are matte and brushed details - such as the front "moulding" - which, enhancing the complex surfaces, gives the new SportTouring a more decisive, sport and elegant character, all at the same time.

The exhaust is also new, standing out because of the two ribs on the heat shield and the exclusive grey/flat black colouring, as well as the doubled 5-spoke wheel rims which were chosen in glossy black.

The touring spirit of this new Beverly comes out in the numerous details, designed to provide a riding experience characterised by maximum comfort, from the saddle which has two-level seating, separate for rider and passenger - a distinctive element of this model from the beginning - which is available on the SportTouring in two colours, black and red (to match the interior finishing) and made precious by the exclusive relief stitching, ideally reminiscent of the most beautiful sports car interiors.

The new SportTouring shares the spacious helmet compartment with the entire Beverly range: illuminated by a courtesy light, it is one of the largest in the category and can hold two full jet or one flip up helmet, in addition to documents, for which a dedicated space is provided.

Load capacity is complemented by the practical luggage rack, with integrated passenger grab handles, the match coloured glove box incorporated in the leg shield back plate and the retractable bag hook.

Colours

The unique look of the new Beverly SportTouring is completed by an exclusive range of colour combinations and interior matches selected to enhance shapes and the sport character of the scooter: matched with the new Argento Cometa, a matte colour which enhances the shapes and surfaces even more, and the Nero Cosmo, the more "aggressive" livery, are the interiors, red embossing and saddle, which for the more classic Blu Midnight, Rosso Antares and Bianco Luna, are instead of black.

2010 Aprilia SR50 R Factory

WHO ARE YOU?
SR 50: the legend rides on, and gets better. Every year! When the SR 50 first came out, it was already in a class of its own. The “sports scooter” category was invented specially for it.
Now, the SR 50 features an aggressive new design, inspired by the RSV 1000 R Factory, but there’s more to it than style! The SR 50 incorporates numerous technical solutions derived directly from Aprilia’s world-beating maxi, to bring you the tops in equipment and the highest level of active safety you can get. With advanced technology, a legendary name, and guaranteed performance, the new SR is destined to be yet another Aprilia success story. Especially if ridden by people like you.

EVOLUTION OF THE SPECIES
Ever since it was first introduced, the SR has been the preferred scooter of the Aprilia Racing Team, and is used extensively at trials and race meetings to get quickly between pit lane and the paddock. Aprilia’s top riders can also be seen riding their SRs around town in total freedom. Just like you.

BIG BIKE LOVER?
So you know all about sports scooters. You’ve read up on scooter technology and performance too. The you know you need the new SR 50.
Just to refresh your memory, the SR 50 was the first scooter to fit 13” wheels, the first with liquid cooling, the first with a double disc braking system, and the first with a direct injection engine.
And finish and equipment are superbike level. Just look at the mirrors, integrated footrests, and open brake master cylinders. The SR 50 has to be yours!

STYLE FANATIC?
Maybe you’re one of those who remove original transfers and put your own stickers on instead. With all the trouble that Aprilia takes to give you such great graphics! Oh well, that’s up to you! But we’d like to know that we’ve styled your new SR in a way can be proud of, with an uncompromising sposts look to reflect its cutting-edge technology, we’ve even designed a completely new steel frame for improved rigidity for unrivalled agility. And you can’t fail to appreciate the SR’s superior multi-functional digital instruments panel, twin halogen headlights, motorcycle-style switchgear and transponer anti-theft system.
In fact, there’s only one thing missing…you! The SR is waiting.

SR, ONE OF THE PACK?
Maybe you use tour scooter to get around with your friends. If so, on an SR you’re sure to attract the right company! SR riders always have something in common. Like you. They aggressive style, streamlined aerodynamics and impeccable handling when they see them. Everybody’s different, but on an SR everybody’s got something to share.

If we wanted to, we could write a book about the SR 50 R Factory’s brand new, active matrix, digital instrument panel. After all, it does have analog rev counter and a large LCD display for fuel level, coolant temperature, clock, speedometer, odometer, dual trip counters, journey time, maximum speed, 16 stage timer, battery voltage, and complete diagnostic system, but we shall limit ourselves to pointing out that all these functions are accessible from convenient handlebar controls.

RESPONSIBLE YOUNG MAN!
Maybe you fit in neatly with one of the personalities described above – or maybe you don’t! In any case, we’re sure you’re a responsible young man, and your family’s pride and joy! So it’s just as well that the SR has what it takes to keep everybody happy, including advanced safety systems like double disc braking, high performance shock absorbers, and a host of high-tech components.

However you see yourself, here are the good reasons for riding an SR. Don’t forget to tell your family!

1. Sleek, aggressive styling, to ensure that all eyes turn your way.
2. Motorcycleroad-holding, precision, aglility and total safety.
3. Double disc brakes for bags of controllable stopping power and fantastic active safety.
4. Robust construction, to make sure that your SR remains faithful mile after mile after mile.
5. A digital instrument panel with on board computer
6. Transponder anti-theft system and provision for the body guard armoured cable lock. Because you can never be too sure.

2012 Honda Silverwing ABS Review

Some say that the journey is half the fun. Well, on a Silver Wing, it's all the fun. And whether you're cruising across town or kicking it coast to coast, the sleek, 600-class Silver Wing is the only way to fly.

The Silver Wing® expands the notion of what a scooter can achieve thanks to the unique pairing of a sophisticated liquid-cooled fuel-injected four-stroke 582cc twin-cylinder engine and a fully automatic transmission. That adds up to true street riding credentials along with easy operation, a combination that can take adventuresome riders as far as the open road beckons. In short, the Silver Wing started a riding revolution, one that continues to this day.

The Ultimate Scooter.

This Honda Silver Wing means serious business. And it’s all thanks to a long list of luxury/comfort features, including full-coverage bodywork, a generous windscreen, and a large, comfortable seat with room for two. Plus it’s all powered by a strong, 582cc two-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection, making the Silver Wing one heck of a ride.

Even more, the Silver Wing comes packed with a no-hassle V-Matic automatic transmission and our Anti-lock Brakes for extra confidence in unexpected conditions.

Let the long journey begin, with the Honda Silver Wing.

Made for the Weekend Escape

The Silver Wing is not only good looking, it’s also extremely useful. It’s designed with a huge 5.5-liter underseat storage space—enough to easily hold a full-face helmet. Plus the weather resistant seats are lockable, so you can bring your things and keep them secure.

Intelligently Designed

Honda’s Programmed Fuel injection can be found in the Silver Wing. That means you can always count on easy startups - even in colder weather and at higher altitudes - without ever having to mess with a choke. And you get great mileage, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the day and less time filling up.

Stop on the Dot

Every Silver Wing comes with Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) to ensure that making a stop on your scooter is drama free. The 2012 Silver Wing also features anti-lock brakes – a huge benefit when things don’t go according to plan.

2012 Honda Silverwing ABS Key Features

Smart gets Stylish.

A scooter that is more than just a neighborhood scooter. The Silver Wing is built for both the long- and short-haul with its full-coverage bodywork and protective windscreen. Its comfortable wide seat and ample, on-board storage make the long way home quite appealing. Add its excellent fuel economy, plus Honda reliability and the Honda Silver Wing is a great plan b, when you want to leave your other vehicle at home.

Honda V-Matic Transmission

With the V-Matic Transmission, riding couldn't be easier. Just start the engine, twist the gas, and go. The V-Matic means no shifting, ever.

The V-Matic is a continuously variable design, so you'll never feel it lurch from one gear to another—you just get smooth power.

Combined Braking System

This innovative system simplifies stopping with confidence. The front and rear brakes are linked in a unique fashion, so when you apply the front brake lever, two of the front three pistons are activated. Apply the rear brake lever and you get the other front brake piston along with the rear. Use both levers together and you get optimal stopping power.

Bodywork and Windscreen

The Silver Wing's wind-tunnel-developed full-coverage bodywork and windscreen not only look good, but they offer a surprising degree of wind and weather protection—something you'll really appreciate on long rides or on cold mornings.

582cc Fuel Injected Engine

The Silver Wing's 582cc parallel-twin engine means it has plenty of power for two-up riding. Because it uses fuel injection, you get no-hassle startups even in cold weather or at high altitudes.

Two-Up Seating

Want to take a passenger along? No problem! The Silver Wing's generous two-up seating capacity means he or she will be riding in the lap of luxury!

Underseat Storage

The Silver Wing offers 55 liters of lockable underseat storage. That's plenty of room for a full-face helmet, or a bag of groceries. It also helps make the Silver Wing super practical for running errands, and makes packing for overnight trips a snap.

Anti-lock Braking System

ABS is simple: it helps you avoid unplanned skids, and helps take the drama out of stopping on less-than-perfect road surfaces. What's amazing is how good it works, and the fact that you can get it on a scooter!
